To run the West Quarter Squilometre with wonderful, connecting community activity we just need a combined total of 7 community hours a week!  That's all it takes!

What would I be doing?

This is a little different from your usual volunteering opportunity.  It's more about People Power!  There are, in fact, a whole range of ways that you could get involved with our heritage-focused, community-led activities but to give you an idea, past street projects have included:-

Street parties
Pop-up exhibitions
Nature trails
Community planting
Community star-gazing
Intergenerational tea parties
Heritage trails and interpretation boards
Promenade performances

We create these things as a team and, as you can imagine, there are lots of roles to choose from.  We do our best to find the right role for you.   These range from being an occasional event steward up to acting as a Place Champion.   It all depends on the time you can pledge.
